Tuki Association Sunkoshi is a member-based non-governmental, non-profit social development organization registered in the District Administration Office of Sindhupalchok and the Government of Nepal in 1992, and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC). Tuki believes local community people are the most capable of identifying and addressing solutions to the local problems. The organization facilitates and provides technical backstopping in implementing sustainable development interventions with community participation and local resource mobilization.. Extensive experience in scaling-up agriculture, health, education, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation including socioeconomic status of people in rural communities of Sindhupalchok district is an asset of Tuki.
Over the past 23 years, Tuki has been working rigorously in the field of health, nutrition, agriculture, livelihood, education, social protection, child development, women and marginalized people to uplift their socio-economic status through providing technical inputs and social mobilization. It has been working with different funding partners including Global Affairs Canada and the Government of Nepal, and has built its capacity in conducting development programs in different thematic areas. Moreover, Tuki has strong project coordination with district as well as village level stakeholders.
