Tuki Association Sunkoshi (TASK) is a member-based non-governmental, non-profit making organization registered in District Administration Office, Sindhuplachowk, in the year 1992 and affiliated to the Social Welfare Council (SWC). Tuki believes local community people are the experts of their locality and hence are the resource person to identify the problems and find the solution. Tuki facilitates the process and provides technical backstopping in developmental interventions ensuring community participation and local resource mobilization. Extensive experience garnered through its members in scaling-up agriculture, health, education, nutrition, water and sanitation and livelihood improvement of rural community in Sindhupalchowk district is an asset of Tuki.

The Organization is established with the principle extension approach that rests upon the two major idea of:

·         Sustainable management of local resources and

·         Restore the ecological balances

So as to achieve these principles, the Organization train and develop cadre of lead farmers with extensive training and empowerment programs who represents change makers in the village and work to empower similar other farmers/ people in the community. TASK has 484 such cadre of lead farmers spread across the district.

 

Over the past 29 years, Tuki is working in the field of health, nutrition, agriculture, livelihood improvement, education, social protection, child development, empowerment of women and marginalized people to uplift their economic and social status by providing technical inputs and social mobilization. It is working with different developmental partners and has built strong credibility with its fair and transparent processes backed by strong governing mechanism of the Organization.
